Samaritan’s Purse Canada is providing assistance to homeowners in southern Alberta who have been impacted by recent flooding. Samaritan’s Purse volunteers will provide assistance pumping out basements, removing furniture or belongings, and tearing out damaged drywall and building materials. Camp Kasota West is offering a choice of two camps at a specially reduced rate of $50/week to families that have suffered the effects of the recent flood and whose children or youth might enjoy a camping experience. Free Laundry at the Laundry Brigade
The Laundry Brigade has over 150 women standing by throughout the city ready and willing to take laundry in for FREE! They will arrange pickup for a central location in the community i.e. community centre, assign a volunteer and get the washing to them and then return to the community centre for pick up.
