If you have a specific request for volunteers, please fill in the details below. Once we have received and reviewed your request, we will post publicly. Please send us your request a minimum of 5 hours before you require volunteers. We will make our best efforts to fulfill them as quickly as possible. Eg. If you require volunteers for 6pm, please send us your request by 3pm. Any requests for volunteers received after 8pm will be posted the following day.
***For any requests requiring volunteers immediately, we suggest you turn to your friends, neighbours, social networks, post on the Calgary Clean Up Facebook event, etc. ***** We are doing our best to organize and help, but we require time to post these requests and organize groups of volunteers.
*Note: Many requests for 10 or less people are being filled by friends/neighbours, and the request contact then cancels the request for volunteers with YYCHelps. It takes time for us to post your opportunity and coordinate the volunteers… and to contact them when a request has been cancelled. In order to conserve our limited time and resources as volunteers as well, we ask you only reach out with requests for 10+ volunteers that you are 100% certain you cannot fulfill on your own. For all other requests, please reach out to your individual networks or post your request on other public community boards like Kijiji and Craig’s List. There are many friends, neighbours, etc. out there just waiting for an opportunity nearby to help!
