Description:  Merry Volunteer is looking for 50 volunteers each to meet at Calgary Olympic Park.

Location: Calgary Olympic Park Ski Hill
Date: Friday June 28 and Saturday June 29
Time: 10am to 4pm
Note: Volunteers will be boarding busses and taken down to 6240 Bow Crescent NW.

Additional details:

Volunteers are needed for cleaning and detail work. Several homes are ready for detail work such as washing walls, floors, and general cleaning. Some carpet and drywall removal is also required. Volunteers will be assigned to a home with the most immediate need.

Volunteers are to park at Calgary Olympic Park’s Ski Hill where buses will take them down to a Volunteer Command Center.

Volunteers are advised to bring rubber boots, gloves, and a mask. Volunteers are encouraged to bring the following special equipment: large fans, de-humidifiers, saws, and hammers.

Food and water will be provided.

The condominium complex of Riverview Estates (104-24 Avenue SW) and Apex Condominium (120-24 Avenue SW) has been completely flooded in the basement units.  Owners require assistance removing the items and placing destroyed items on the street as directed by the city.

Rubber boots, eyewear, rubber gloves, head lamps.  The units are in basement levels.

Volunteers to bring their own food.
