The CWRC is a not-for-profit, charitable organization which assists people with the rights in the workplace, including applying for and navigating the Employment Insurance system. The CWRC is primarily funded by the United Way of Calgary and Area as well as the Alberta Law Foundation.
During this difficult time we are contacting community and neighbourhood leaders in areas which were impacted by the recent flooding and offering our services to assist people who may qualify for Employment Insurance (EI) if their employment was impacted by the flooding (either because their employment has stopped due to the flooding or they are unable to get to work as a result of the flooding).
We are available to come into the neighbourhood/community and host an information workshop and clinic where there will be caseworkers available to assist people to apply for EI and answer any questions people have about EI.
Our services are completely free to the community and the people who require our assistance. We are available to do workshops during the day, evening or even some weekends.
EI has some very strict timelines and July 18, 2013 is the deadline that everyone who was impacted by the flooding in Calgary and area can apply for EI.
For assistance, please contact Leigh Golden (403-264-8100 ext. 23 or [email protected]) or Candace Martens (403-264-8100 ext 25 or [email protected]).
